Participate in Legislation and Change

HFUU provides direct access to policy and legislation through NFU’s government relations department which provides members access to Congress, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other key federal agencies. HFUU and NFU policy is driven through grassroots development and supported in key government relations that take the issues directly to the nation’s law-makers.
HFUU advocates policy positions, promotes legislation, and responds to proposed rules/regulations to bring agricultural and cultural issues to the attention of top government officials.  Means of advocacy include regular meetings, writing letters/petitions, issuing briefings and creating policy change which can be promoted and used by our local and federal governments.
